Maasai Mara game park "7th World Wonder" offers the possibility of seeing "the big five" and many other wildlife species throughout the year. The great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to see for any would be visitor to Kenya mainly in July and August of each year.

Day 1: Nairobi/Maasai Mara

Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley to the Mara Reserve arriving in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 2: Maasai Mara

Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5 among other game. Meals and overnight at the Tented Camp.

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary, the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The easily spotted game in Maasai Mara Reserve are virtually Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelle, eland, impala, antelopes, masai giraffe, elephants, buffalo, warthog, the big cats; leopard, cheetah, lion. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August. Other animals which are easy to see are bat-eared foxes, jackals, spotted hyenas. Mara and Talek rivers are home to hippos and crocodiles. The reserve is rich with birdlife with about 452 species recorded among them vultures, eagles, common ostrich, go-away birds, secretary bird, cranes, storks, hamerkop, hornbills. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park at an extra cost of US$450. At extra cost you may visit a local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle; the Masai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years.

Day 3: Masai Mara/Nairobi

Morning game drive to further explore the park, then you drive to Nairobi via Narok; we stop to browse in the bustling, vibrant Masai markets to buy curios and handicrafts before continuing to Nairobi where our safari ends.
